DLA to PIPS Qquestion

I understand that everyone who is currently receiving DLA will have to be reassed for PIPS.

My Aunt is 70 years old and has an indefinite award for DLA. Will she have to be reassessed for PIPS?

She is getting really stressed about this and I would like to put her mind at rest.

Can anyone answer my query?

    she will stay on DLA.
only those under retirement age in April 2013 will have to transition to PIP

    Thank you nannytone.
She is so relieved. Does that mean that her original indefinate award will stand?
    Thanks again

She will remain on DLA, but she may still be reassessed at any time. Indefinite simply means she will not be reassessed at a specified time.

an indefinite award doesn't mean that it will continue forever.
merely that no time span has been placed for a reassessment.
indefinite awards can be reviewed at any time.
in my opinion, it is unlikely to happen anytime soon, although i expect the DWP's next move against the disabled will be to make all people over pension age to claim Attendance Allowance instead of DLA ( theres no mobility component to AA so will save pots of money).
it hasn't been mentioned, but seems a natural progression to me

    Thank you for your replies.
I think I will keep the reassessment likelihood to myself for now. It will only increase her stress levels bless her.
    Kindest regards
