Armtrac

Hi I have received a parking fine from Armtrac that is due by Friday for the sum of £60 it goes up to £100 after that. I have read so many threads regarding these people and feel very confused as to what to do. We did purchase a ticket which I still hAve but did fail to display it. The parking maching is at the entrance to a lane which leads to the car park some 600m away. We stopped to buy the ticket placed it in the centre console drove down the lane parked up and in the midst of unloading and getting on wetsuits forgot to display the ticket. We have though about paying up to sort the situation but we do feel £60 is a huge amount for a mistake. Is it worth appealing?? Or should we just pay on Friday with is day 14. Any help would be very much appreciated

its not a fine , its a speculative invoice , so treat it as such

yes you can and should appeal, then go into ignore mode for 6 years

they could try a court case if you dont pay up, they have 6 years to do so

nobody is making you pay, so stand up for your rights, only pay if a court says so
