If you are going the USA and want to do some shopping - then you need the Macy's International Savings Card, which is available in 10 languages and offers 11% savings in all Macy's stores for 30 days after validation. Visitors can obtain the Savings Card at select Macy's locations and at our Visitor Centers in New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas and Honolulu. (Most other Macy's will also supply this card at the Customer Service desk.)

Macy's in San Fran is something else!

Quite a few of the large US chains do this. e.g. Bloomingdales, SAKS etc.

Just go to the customer service desk and ask them for a card.

You can usually get a free gift too if you spend over a certain amount. My wife got a nice Bloomingdales bag for spending over $50.

We were self-catering in the US, and in the supermarkets saw all the signs like in Somerfields in the UK, where people with the loyalty card got special prices or BOGOF's, we assumed we couldn't get one. Then a friendly checkout assistant insisted that it was ok, admittedly the UK address didn't fill the boxes exactly on the form!

A lot of the special prices were on seasonal fruit & veg & salads, so they were things we needed to buy anyway.

Once we'd got one card, it was OK in the other supermarkets, because you just showed the first card and said it was OK at the other store!!

If you're visiting lots of the National Parks, consider buying the season ticket cards, I think we halved the cost of entrance fees by doing this, and you always get a friendly smile when people see the membership card.

Sorry I can't resist saving money, even when on holiday!!

This can also sometimes apply to Theme Parks - It is sometimes cheaper to buy the Annual Passes, even though you may never go back !!!
