My advice is not to bet. These group matches should all be walkovers for England, Scotland and Ireland. If all the points go on these teams (as most will on a UK site) then you will lose points as Pigsback take a % of the pool for "administration" - I think it is 20% from memory, before they calculate the payout.

Don't worry about this. I have a confirmation email this week from Pigsback stating that you will at least receive your stake back should you choose the winning option on a Jackpot.

There was uproar a while back when people bet on a jackpot and those that won received less than their stake back due to this 20% admin cost, so Pigsback changed their terms. I also believe that PB now add to the pot from their own funds, which kind of defeats the object of the 20% deduction

Therefore you are now guaranteed to at least receive your stake back should you win.

These bets are a no brainer (as long as you choose the winner of course), if you bet 100pp and win the minimum you will receive is 100pp.

So if there was 40000pp bets for England to win against USA, and England won, PP take 8000pp as admin fee, but then have to fund at least 8000pp to ensure everyone gets their stake back. Which as I mentioned above defeats the 20% admin cost.

Of course the more people that choose the winning option means the percentage returns decreases. So everyone from now on please bet on USA :rotfl:

Rochdale Asda refused our Weightwatchers Vouchers today, they said they weren't taking internet vouchers anymore since last week.

So why risk 1000 points to get 1000 or 1005 points back; a freak result and you lose the lot. The bookies are offering better odds!

For the England game, bookies are offering 1/250 on, most 1/500 on.

If you bet £10 at 1/250 odds then you get back £10.04 for 1/500 you get £10.02 compared to receiving a minimum of £10 on pp. So does 2p or 4p really amount to better odds? At if as you quote PB gave back 1005pp, that is actually better than any bookies.

The only way bookies are better if you use the margin game and can increase your returns that way. If it's a straight WIN/DRAW/WIN result you are after, bookies are only better by a max of 4p on a £10 stake should PB only give your stake back. Not really what I would call retirement funding?

Whether you choose PB or a bookies the golden rule of betting is only bet what you can afford to lose.

My Asda at Derby wont take internet vouchers either, I tried a pedigree better by nature. Emailed pedigree/masterfoods to tell them and they sent me £3 worth of vouchers (couldnt be used on pedigree though). Sent a letter of complaint to Asda, received quite a snotty one back saying that head office has made the decision to stop internet vouchers. Even though these vouchers are supposed to be accepted at all big stores.
