Who to believe?
Options
MSE has told me, after I entered correctly the details of my gas and electricity annual usage, that E.ON would be the cheapest option for me to change to from FLOW. However, I then entered the same data on the Which? Switch site and, No, E.ON is apparently more expensive than my present supplier. So who do I believe? If I switch to E.ON and they turn out to be dearer, I then have to pay a £60.00 exit fee. Perhaps this is one reason why more people do not switch.

They are both correct. Did you look at the Tariff names and read the link in the very first line of the information on the E.ON tariff offered through the cheap energy club? ( It's exclusive to them due to the collective switch)

Hi Zeek
It sounds like the tariff you're seeing on Cheap Energy Club is our collective switch tariff. This tariff is only available via Cheap Energy Club, which is why you saw different results when you compared on Which.
I hope this helps to clear things up for you.0 -

Are you absolutely sure that you
(a) selected the correct current supplier and tariff on both occasions
(b) input the same anticipated annual consumption in kwh to both sites
(c) were comparing to exactly the same Eon tariff on both sites?
(as others indicate, the CEC currently has a collective switch Eon tariff only available through them)
If you are certain on all the above, then if you provide me the above details and your supply region (or first part of your postcode) then I will be happy to check for you which is correct.
Whats more, I will hopefully be able to indicate where you could save even more money by using separate suppliers :beer:0
