By the sound of it you need something instant whilst you look for a permanant job.
Best ideas will be as mentoined above to go round to the pubs/bars as these are usually immediate starts and the hours could work in your favour whilst your searching for another job.
I know its not the nicest place to work but look for Mcdonalds KFC and so on as they always need staff again usually instant-ish starts.
DIY stores, pet shops, cafe's, cleaning, supermarkets. Anything that pays.
Also, I wouldn't tell these temporary empoyers that they are only temporary jobs.
It's not good to lie but if you say to a potential employer I'm gonna leave when I find a better job........... They wont employ you.I'm not lost. I'm just going the long way round.....0 -
I don't know if you have already tried this, but I have found totaljobs.com to be brilliant. There is a facility for you to put your CV online. Agencies and employers can then see it and contact you.
I have used this for my last 3 jobs and I find it really good. It's almost like being headhunted, as you just sit back and let them call you with potential jobs. I left one job on Friday afternoon and had four interviews lined up by 6pm.
Good luck!
