No 7 match service..is it any good?

I do not like the NO7 Foundations normally and I had tried them all.
However I got a sample of the new one Airbrush Away Foundation.
I actually really like this one and went out and actually bought it.
It does feel really nice on my skin and has good coverage.
In the evenings particularly in the Winter I do use a slightly heavier one but certainly during the Summer day and night and in the Winter during the day this one is really good!0 -

They take the skin match from the jaw area.
It's relatively rare for children past the age of puberty to have freckles, but for any Patsy Palmers out there, they match the make-up to your skin, not the freckle colour:

They actually don't look too bad toned down with a bit of make-up. The girl in the first picture (who I'm sure is famous for something or other but I've no idea who she is..) looks good. The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -
Does anyone know how it actually works? I'm curious to know.0

Mine was good but bad! They matched it to my cheek which is freckly, they should have matched it to my neck, however, the foundation did match the small area they tested but was impossible to use without the dreaded tide mark at my neck. I would go back and next time ask them to match my neck. The sales assistants could do with a bit of training where to match for different people.
That said the lipstick match was good and has helped me pick nice tones for that.
I rarely wear make-up so I'm in no hurry to get back.0 -

:rotfl:
I've no idea who she is, either - but I've probably got slightly more freckles than she has over her nose, all over my face and arms, about the same shade & tone, as well.
It's why I've steered clear of foundation most of the time - in winter, the unfreckled bits are too pale for even the lightest shades of most foundation (and I've tried things like Dainty Doll without success), in summer, the freckles cover almost everything and when I have tried to get foundation matched before, the poor ladies on the counters have always tried to match the freckle colour, probably partly because it's more likely to exist in their shade range and partly because they think I should hide them , so I've been given 'makeovers' with yellow and orange tinted gloop that looks awful.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

I had a colour match at No7 and it worked quite well. The colour is a bit dark for my neck, but it was the lightest colour they do and it's not too far off!
They also helped me match for blusher and eye shadow for a friend's wedding. I showed her 2 dresses I bought but hadn't decided on which one yet and they found a shade that could match them both.
That was the first time I'd ever been to a make up counter!0
