Stop being difficult and wait for the shower.
Stop being difficult and actually read what I've written - waiting for the shower is not allowed.
Also, I don't really get too sweaty on my rode in but probably around a third of the office cycles or exercises at lunch time so it its a case of someone smelling there's quite a few people to choose from.0 -
It is issues like this where you find out where you really are in the pecking order at work.0

People in IT generally get away with the wash rule; most times you can "disappear" for enough minutes in order to freshen up after a sweaty bike ride in, but to the general peasant NMW sustaining working class, it's a luxury they don't have. Not sure what can be done about this.
Higher paid white collar workers seem to afford the privilege of unnoticed freshen up without an ensuing gripe from any colleague.0 -

To me this screams it's a personal hygiene issue which the management have decided is easier to deal with presenting it as a dress code issue.Make £2025 in 2025

Sorry I can't see where your manager has said waiting for the shower is not allowed? There's a difference between waiting near the shower area and waiting at your desk which is what you've had complaints about. Is doing this really a big deal to you?0 -

A) It wasn't my manager that came up with this.
The rule is no sportswear in the office and since the shower is in the office it should be obvious what the problem is. 0 -

You're being too literal. If they're really saying you can't walk through to use the shower then yes that is stupid. I'm sure that isn't what's being said as that would be ridiculous. There is a difference between walking to the shower and sitting at your desk.0
