National Parking Control - Scotland

Hi,
I've had a 3rd letter from National Parking Control. Annoyingly the parking fine is nothing to do with me.
I sold the car on the 11th August 2014 and the parking charge relates to the 22nd August 2014. Perhaps in error I replied to the first letter giving them the new owners details and I've since received 2 more letters from them.
I'm assuming I should just keep ignoring the letters, they clearly aren't going to listen to my replies. This 3rd one mentions County Court Judgements etc.
Thanks for any advice

Scotland does not come under the protection of freedom act , they can only chase the driver , not the owner.
do not contact them by mail/email or phone , have you?0 -
You're in Scotland, and the incident happened in Scotland, therefore you simply ignore.
Apart from anything else, the County Courts are not Scottish courts and have no jurisdiction in Scotland.
Bottom line: nothing to worry about.0 -
is it this lot http://issueparkingcharges.co.uk/
beware "Norris cole" and his brownie , its a self ticket type of affair , £10 a photo0 -
Yeah its that lot Enfield Freddy
Ok thanks will just ignore it I just wasn't sure if I should pass on the new owners details? I had already done this as the 1st letter they sent had a bit to tear off and send back to say whether I owned the car or not0 -
Report them to your local Trading Standards. They're quite hot on this scam in Scotland.Je Suis Cecil.0

Thanks Manxred,
I've reported them to Trading Standards today
Thanks for your advice everyone :-)0 -
Just to give you an update - I went to my local Trading Standards office in September 2015 and they were very interested in my case. They took all my documents and said there was definitely a case of intimidation and harassment so they would be looking to take the company to court.
I have since received a letter from National Parking Control apologising for all the letters that they sent stating that it was their error that the subsequent letters were sent and I would no longer be contacted.
So thanks for your advice MSE people :-)0 -
'Error'. Yeah, right.
Well done though.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
I understand that the "mistake" issue only appears when the parking companies have their collars felt.
Nice to know that TS are doing their job though it should be National Parking Control ensuring they are a fit and proper company.
Why not write back and ask for £?? (the amount they were intending charge you) as compensation for the hurt and distress they caused by the failure to ensure proper systems were in place. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
