New missed payments indicator on a c/card closed years ago

I accessed my Experian account today for the first time in about a year. I have 2 Vanquis accounts, one closed in 2010 and one in 2012. In the period of the last 12 months there are five missed payments, one payment made, one question mark and then a payment made last month.

I do not understand this as I am not actually paying anything and the accounts were closed years ago? I called Vanquis today but they could not tell me anything as the account was closed so long ago. They asked me to call tomorrow to talk to the exceptions team.

Does anyone have idea why this is happening and how do I sort it?

Thanks in advance.

  • It might be the last 12 months the card was active before it was closed, check the dates as this is the case on my report for my old Lloyds CC.
    August 2010 debt amount £41596
    August 2015 debt £2598
    Target DFD [STRIKE]October 2015 [/STRIKE] Amended this to May 2016 :j
Mortgage free date: January 2015 :j
    Savings goal. £3400 / £13372 :T
  • Ok I think this could be it. Its say beneath the section "Closed accounts are kept on file for six years from the date of closure. The status history in respect of a closed account relates to the period of time prior to the date of closure.". So the missed payments will be the final ones before I closed the account?
  • From what you have said yes.
