As we are relocating to North East it would be Durham, Clevland or Northumbria. Possibly even north yorkshire as we will be 20 mins from Catterick. Its just when he discharges from Army, he has a year to serve and he knows as soon as he signs off he can apply to a Police force, as Newfoundglory said it can take a year.
So I think its a genujne case of 'got nothing to lose' in his final year so may aswell apply.0 -
A friend of mine went on all the help courses to get into the police, but messed up one of the role plays, so is now waiting the 6 months before he can apply again.

A friend of mine was in the specials for must have been at least 3 years before she tried to be a police officer. She had to redo one of the excercises but is a fully fledged copper I think now. I think it's one of the ways to get in is to be a special officer as I'm sure she said quite a few who were were getting the police officer jobs in the end as they had shown themselves to them first:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one
