ICICI Linked current account

Once you have your ICICI Hi Save savings account up and running, is it possible to have either more than one account linked to your Hi Save account, or is it possible to have your Sainsbury savings account as your linked account?

I have copied the text below from their rules, and it quite clearly states by reading this that the answer is no?

1) You can only have one linked account, this account must have a direct debit facility, so accept direct debits and also have a cheque book. So this would rule out either Sainsbury or ICE Save?

Its just if you want to withdraw money, you have to go through your one single linked current account, it would be better to go straight to your Sainbury or IceSave account, less interest lost?

Can I change my linked current account after my account is activated?

Yes, you may change your linked current account after your account is activated. You will need to log in to your HiSAVE Savings Account, and then go to the section "Transfer Money". In this section you may use the option "Linked Accounts" and then change your linked current account. Please note, you will need to enter the new current account details and approve the Direct Debit Mandate, after which you will need to send us a cheque of minimum £1.00 from your new current account. The linked current account will be changed after we receive the cheque from you.

In case you close your linked current account then you would need to change the linked account details for your HiSAVE Savings Account failing, which your standing orders would not execute.

Thanks for any help in advance!

The only question you haven't answered yourself in your first post is...
Its just if you want to withdraw money, you have to go through your one single linked current account, it would be better to go straight to your Sainbury or IceSave account, less interest lost?
...and the answer to that is yes - but you knew that anyway!

The fastest way to transfer funds from ICICI to Sainsburys is via a Halifax current account, because Halifax C/A=>Sainsburys is 'instant' in my recent experience.
