Fraudster taken my 100% +ve feedback. Can I ...?

Hi,

Having had 100% positive feedback for 2 years I'm saddened that an ebay 'big time' fraudster stole my money, then once I've involved eBay to investigate he's left negative feedback about me.

I want to have it removed but from what I've read I don't think it's possible. I also want the opportunity at the very least to leave more than a restricting 80 words of explanation to those who'll see my feedback. I can't see how this is possible either.

This guy is a sophisticated eBay crook using multiple names to con people like I have been. When I try to do the right thing, he then harms my excellent reputation. It seems so unfair that the eBay system can permit him to do this.

Any ideas folks ?
Cheers, Wilf.
Keep smiling!

I believe if you go into Ebay Taiwan and leave feedback through their site you get 126 characters to leave feedback

As for the feedback try this, it explains about mutual feedback removal but you both have to agree for it to be removed.

Why worry about 1 neg on an otherwise perfect profile? Any buyer or seller of worth will see it for what it is - a scammer trying to spoil your record.

Relax and get on with ebay life?

This happened to me too. I didn't get sent my goods and when I emailed the seller he said it was my own fault for not taking out postal insurance and he really didn't care. I left a neg and he left me a neg back (I was new at the time and didn't know he could do this!) The negative was as much for his attitude as anything else. So I now don't have 100% even though Ive done nothing wrong. Ebay weren't interested and wouldn't do anything about it. Ive since read his feedback and even though he has a lot of good feedback he regularly has people complaining of not receiving goods so I think he does this a lot to make money. He's a fraudster and still operating.

I think the moral of these stories is that you don't leave a neg for someone unless you don't mind them leaving you one back. I think you have to just take it on the chin and put it down to experience because Ebay won't help.

If they leave negative feedback for you, just reply in response asking anyone to e mail you for an explanation if they wish :)

if you've not left him feedback, make sure you put his phone number or contact details in the feedback.

    BOTH will be removed

personally i'd just take the hit on the chin

a LOT of buyers see 100% feedback as a way of extorting the seller by threatning to leave a bad feedback

trust me, as soon as you drop to 99.9% (or whatever) you get a lot less a#holes
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
