Watch out Virgin mobile BUSINESS users

To be fair to JJ Egan, he said you were 'leaching' (spelling error as well) off Virgin Mobile customers, not taxpayers. I don't think he was correct in that assertion either, but it's a salutory lesson to read what you sign up for *before* you sign a contract.
That's assuming, of course, that you get the contract for the business. I would imagine that most people who start a small business would, initially, at least, just keep using 'their mobile', which would, generally, be on a personal contract.
Given this is a praise vent and warning forum, the OP's post is a very useful one as it may well stick in the back of people's minds and help them or their friends to avoid a costly mistake. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I would not worry to much what JJ Egan said, since he has clearly now deleted his original post!0

I think it was deleted by the 'forum team'.
They seem to be taking a much harder line with people being unpleasant to posters - I've seen quite a few nasty posts disappear recently.
It's a very welcome development. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I'd have thought people would learn by now that consumer contracts are not for business use. There was a guy moaning the other day on the consumer rights board who purchased a bog standard laptop from curry's/pc world and threw a hissy fit because it needed a repair and he expected them to do it next day just because he claimed "business use" and currys told him to swivel and it would be a 2 week standard repair.
Although I do wish the OP good luck with his business I have no sympathy and agree completely with Virgin. £50 compensation is more than enough.
If you're going to run a business you'll need to pay more attention to detail and contracts.0
