ParkingEye freedom of information

Not done this before.
I need to collate data under FOI relating to ParkingEye. I want know how many cases they have brought to court since POFA began.

1. How many were heard in court with PE present.
2. How many PE failed to turn up to.
3. How many they won.
4. How many they lost.

Any pointers would be great, and where to apply.
waiting on court papers at present.

use whatdotheyknow and apply to the moj

The MOJ do not hold stats on 1. but I can confirm that the total is 1 (PE v Beavis)

The MOJ do not hold stats on 2, but I can confirm that the total is very small and only occurs when there is a !!!!-up (they forget to inform LPC Law,or LPC Law fail to turn up)

They don't hold stats on 3, but they will give a rough idea

They don't hold stats on 4, but again you can get a rough idea.

  • Thanks I'll give that a go.
  • Remember the courts are as income focused as DVLA and they are not going to rock any boats, more cases PE file, more money the courts get as well.

But what they want, as HHJ Moloney admitted, was to be able to strike out defences. If cases go to a hearing, then the courts lose money. £25 hearing fee does not really buy much judge-time, let alone pay for the court room.
