My rented home has really low water pressure just in the bathroom

An electric shower runs off the cold supply and uses (expensive!) electricity to instantly heat the water. They need a big old cable straight from the CU - I recently ran one for daughter in 10mm^2 cable and it was more like hose!
A power shower takes both hot and cold and uses a pump to give it more welly. You need a big cylinder or you'll run out of h/w fairly quickly.
Another possible option is to put the loft header tank on stilts to provide more "head".
BTW, finding mixer taps that work on gravity is difficult, and many people fit unsuitable ones, hence the tickle of water.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
Fit a single impeller pump to the hot feed, lots on fleabay for under £10, collection only so depends where you live. Easy to fit DIY or pay a plumber/electrician.
I fitted one to our 3rd floor bathroom when I put a shower in and it works great.0 -
Thanks for the responses. As advised, I have sent a letter via the post, and the same via email for my records. The house was advertised to have a shower so I would of assumed a working one, not just a piece of metal that trickles water. I'm not sure how somebody would of lived there before we did as I had to install my own waste pipe feed for the washing machine along with a plug socket as there wasn't one there when we moved in.
ALSO slightly off topic, but to top it all off the neighbors house (who apparently doesn't live there anymore) has a fire alarm which needs a battery change and it's been beeping every forty seconds for the past week, which is fun

That's not fun that's annoying. If you know where the owner lives or letting agent for the property then ask them to remove the batteries.:footie:
