Just spotted these bargains on M&M Direct but only in size 8 1/2 though if of any use to anyone!

Ugg Womens Classic Short Boot Silver - reduced from £99.60 to £50.39 which is a bargain in itself but follow the link for £20 off £50 spend and they will cost a measly £34.38 including the postage.

    Hi there

I searched long and hard to find some non-Deckers "ugg" boots that were real sheepskin b utnot fake "real" (Deckers) Uggs. I thought I'd finally found them after seeing the Snug Australia website cited on Moneysavingexpert.com and ordered my new boots.

I've now received a letter from Deckers' solicitors saying that they've been impounded as they infringe UK copyright and that I have to agree to have them destroyed or pay a £5000 fine.

The Snug Australia website has quite a long section explaining that they are not pretending to be Deckers, so this is rather a shame. And even more of a shame for me as I STILL don't have my much-craved sheepskin boots! Can Martin offer any more advice for someone who doesn't WANT "branded" Uggs but just wants some comfy sheepskin boots that won't break the bank?

Hmm, whilst I completely agree that Snugs are out-and-out Deckers copies and as such are illegal and should be avoided, whatever they say on their website, I find myself suspicious about these two posts from new posters saying that their Snugs were 'impounded' and they have to be destroyed or to pay a £5000 fine. How does jimblack know that 'more than 50 people have been stung by this?'

Now can anyone direct me to where on the UK Border Agency it says that you can import a fake if you are willing to pay £5000? That makes no sense at all. It simply states that fakes are banned and may not be imported at all.

And to answer the question about non-Deckers sheepskin boots, what about Emus? Readily available in the UK even.

Sorry if both these posters are genuine; it just seems suspicious.

I have just posted a 20% off code for Shudoo in the discount forum.

Shudoo have their Ugg Cardys reduced to £90 already, so with discount will be £72. Good time to buy uggs for next winter, any excuse is better than none;)

I ordered mine off the website mentioned on the first page : Snugaustralia. .and didn't realise they weren't genunie Ugg australia boots.
I paid aroun £70 + £10 delivery..I was disappointed when they arrived a week later as i was expecting Ugg australia but I guess that is my own fault for not being more careful too!
Today however, A Customs and Excise invoice arrived for them for £30!!! Not happy at all..what did I pay my £10 delivery for?! I will do what I can to try not to pay this. BEWARE when ordering from here!!

I haven't read this entire thread but I was wondering how do you know if the Uggs you have purchased are genuine?

ONLY ever buy them from an authorised dealer, if you look on the Ugg Australia website here http://www.uggaustralia.com/gb/retailstores/onlinestores.aspx?p=aor

This tells you all the online stores that are authorised to sell them.

Never buy from ebay, most are fake.

If you already have them and are not sure if they are fake or not, post a pic on here and we may be able to help you.
