  • Hi all

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I have recently purchased some Ugg boots and have worn them for three weeks. I love them but have a slight worry about how much bigger they seem to be getting!!!!!

I'm normally a 6 but bought a 5. They were very slightly big when I first wore them- and one seemed a little bigger than the other. Initially I thought it must have been my feet but now, on closer inspection it seems that the sheepskin is much thicker on one than the other hence the difference.I actually now think that they are not actually a 'pair' at all as the stitching seems very slightly different on one than the other too.The differences are only subtle but now I'm obseessed by them!!

I'm sure they are genuine - bought from a genuine Ugg dealer and all the right signs etc but do you think the larger one is actually 'faulty'? Or should I just get some sheepskin insoles and hope that solves the problem. Grrrr- wish I'd realised the problem when I first had them. But was just so excited to have them!!!

Problem is I bought them from Zucci and don't think I'll have much luck with the customer service judging by contact problems!

    Thanks al!

seeing as it's only three weeks, get in touch with whoever you bought them from or rake them back to the shop. if they are faulty then you should be able to get a refund or exchange them.

I wish I had taken a picture of mine but I took mine back once I realised I wasn`t the only one with the problem. Best way I can describe it is that the boots looked like distressed leather.

They are meant to. They are made of sheepskin, not cowskin, and you can't get a proper shiny hide like cow leather, or at any rate you can't get it on the side of the hide opposite the fur (the suede side), which is what bomber uggs are made of. They are slightly more water resistent than normal uggs, and they show watermarks and other stains far less than normal uggs, but they are not like normal leather and they are not waterproof.

Sheep leathered suede is very, very fine grained. It will crack along it's wrinkles, and resemble fine scales. This is considered part of its charm...

I have seen other ugg bombers and they didn't look like mine. I bought my daughter some a few days before mine and hers are like new. I don't only have just those uggs so it's not like they were worn too often. The manager at USC said it was a manufacturers fault.

avoid those sites like the plague- chances are you are not going to get a pair of Deckers Uggs for much less than 20% under the RRP. Go on the offical Ugg website and look which sites a registered sellers- there are a lot to sift through but at least you will be getting the genuine article.

I've been looking at Kiwi sheepskins, they look really good and have some good customer reviews - has anyone on here got any? I was thinking of getting the mid calf boots http://www.kiwi-sheepskins.com/detail.asp?product_id=FW030

It says that the price includes airmail - would I have to pay duty on them when they get here?

    Thanks :)

Yes you would have to pay duty on them if they get inspected at customs, some parcels sneak through Ok, some don't....you just have to cross your fingers and hope for the best!

Sorry I am with spacerider on this one - I have seen plenty of people who's's bomber uggs look fine!
Mine almost looked like the brown part of the leather had rubbed off and they went almost white!
I have sent them back to asos and am awaiting a reply from them.
They looked so bad that I actually stopped wearing them!
