Now thinking about the Canterbury Supertred boots from Hartings for £75 as a good alternative to the Emu Outback for £120.

I know a few of you have bought these so what is the sizing like? And were any of you charged by customs? £75 delivered from overseas seems too good to be true!

Struggling to afford UGGs but have seen Rocket Dog Sugar daddy http://www.sweetfeetshoes.co.uk/sfproductdetail.php?category=110&prod=RD-SD-CHST&cat=114 and honey pup http://www.sweetfeetshoes.co.uk/sfproductdetail.php?category=110&prod=RD-HP-CHST&cat=307 boots that I like for ~£50. Anyone got these? Ideas on sizing (can try to get to shops to try but start back at work tomorrow so bit late in day!)?

Do also like the LFA Cozi ones posted here but really want the tan version and they are £80.

I know they wont compare to UGGs which would be my preference but....thoughts appreciated please.

Sorry if wrong place to ask but thought better here than starting whole new thread on 'similar' boot theme.
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

I have rocketdog sugardaddies in black. I usually wear an 8 because my feet are stupidly wide, but wear a seven in these and they are perfect
    Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£25

I think you may be pleasantly surprised, LFA's are comparable to Ugg and in some cases review as being better.

This may be a controversial opinion but I think the days of people only buying Ugg Australia are numbered. What with money being tight both here and the USA people are looking for a comparable boot at a lower price and often finding they are just as good, if not better than Ugg Australia. A lot of brands still produce handmade boots in Australia, Koolaburra being one of them.

A lot of celebrities are now being photographed in other brands, Vanessa Hudgens in Koolaburra, Britney and Paris in Australia Luxe Collective, Emma Watson in Warmbats and even Romeo Beckham in Love From Australia boots.

Ugg Australia have held the market for far too long, they are double the price of a comparable boot and even have the cheek to charge you for the protector spray that comes free with some other brands.

Spend half an hour on amazon.com and .co.uk and read the reviews of Emu, Koolaburra, LFA, Warmbats etc and read how people who have owned Uggs are saying that these are better than Ugg Australia.

    Opened my eyes :D

    Hi
I 've got two pairs of these, bought from Hartings(£75 )and NZ Nature.(£89) They are excellent and are better than Emu in my humble opinion, for the following reasons

1.The construction of these boots are superb, well stitched and the sole has a wonderful bouncy feeling.
    2. The sheepskin is extremely thick and very warm
    3. The removable insole is of excellent quality.
    4. The sole has excellent grip.....especially in the snow LoL

Now lets deal with the sizing issue....I'm a size 9 (43)!!! and ordered this size from NZ Nature. They are too big (length of boot and around the heel). However by putting in an insole and wearing socks they are ok. These are worn in bad weather or when taking kids to park etc. NZ Nature are an excellent company to deal with. They sent me an email confirmation of my order and they also sent a letter. My boots took 2 weeks to arrive and there was a customs charge (I did however buy other items from NZ, so the charge could have been as a result of this ).

Ordered size 8 from Hartings and my boots fit perfectly, no customs charge:D

Both boots were the chocolate Superthread which are a lovely rich colour. I used Clarks shoe protector on them

My advice is go down a size as sheepskin stretches. Happy shopping x:D

I'm thinking about getting a pair of short chestnut from https://www.shoe-store.net as they cost $170 which is about £107 pounds how much would customs potentially be and is it worth it?

I bought a couple of pairs of Uggs from there and customs is normally around £20-25 for short Ugg Boots.

I think it's worth it - especially if there are no decent discount codes around.

Thanks for the quick response-I usually wear an 8 but am really more like a narrow 7.5 so sounds like 7 would be better. Due to my narrow feet, 8's are often like boats but needed for length compared to a 7. Are they quite wide at the calf-quite alot of wellies and boots say from Next/Clarks etc are tight around my 'muscley' calves:wink:

Will read the reviews and to be honest, I have no firm desire for any over another other than 'jumping on bandwagon' so it comes down to price for me hence considering Rocket Dog or LFA's (but for the £60 mark it would need to be the less prefereable lighter ones of these due to availability of sizes).

Thanks again for advice and comments

A really good point being made here, its just a question of doing your research. I tried on Ugg Australia and found that they aren't as comfortable as EMU or Canterbury Superthreads. Still think the price of lots of sheepskin boots (who ever manufactures them....) are way too OVER PRICED. No sheepskin boot is worth over £100!!

I cant comment on the Ugg type rocketdog, but I have bought rocketdog shoes and boots for years and found them to be excellent in quality. :D

    MANY thanks for this!:D I'm sold!:rotfl:

Swaying towards ordering the chocolate(LOVE that colour!) from Hartings.:j No pics of it in that colour way though.

I'd already noted that does mention on the NZ Nature site that you may be charged by customs.

My only other issue is that Emu Outback have arch support but the Canterbury Supertreds don't mention it. I have very flat feet & it would make all the difference, but weighing up the price difference(£21 IF I can get 20% off the Emus)is it really worth it?
