My classic uggs are a uk 5 too but these are quite narrow where u put your foot in.my daughter takes a 7 and she managed to squeeze it on.she is a slim teenager but was hard to get off.I think these are definatly for someone with z size 4 or 4.5 shoe not a 5.5 as per the classic sizing.the lace up is fine on the leg it's just getting them on.suppose you could try till they stretch but I would rather get a size that fits
ok thanks for being honest , I do have wide feet so porbably wouldnt get them on either , shame was really looking forward to wearing them ! I went into town today to try too find some to try on but cant find that style anywhere ! :eek:0 -
Thanks Mookie! I think they are real - but now I'm just not sure if my pair is a duff pair. Maybe the materail that they use varies - I'm going to have a look at the ones in the shops to see if they are soft suade like my chestnut ones. I'll keep you posted! :-)0

I think it is hard- in many ways you don't know until they are old enough to show some wear, the fakes wear differently, flopping over to the side- you see it on many people who look like they are no longer walking on the sole of the boot and instead walking on the side or corner of their boots.
Also, the sheepskin will be inferior, probably not as soft, will shed-alot, will not stay as fluffy for very long, may not even be as warm and may in some nasty cases, be treated with chemicals which could be harmful to your skin.
The soles have changed over the years, but the quality will still be good. They will not feel so hard you are walking on concrete but also not so soft they start to peel! The colour wont fade on the soles of genuine pairs and they will also be even- no air bubbles, no whiteness on being brushed against stone walls and will be substantial- wont come away from the actual boot and will last years before becomming worn through (if they ever do....-I'm 5 years and counting on mine!) unlike fakes where any of the above may be likely.
The logo is the main way people tell, the actual logo is on the genuine Ugg UK website as are all the sellers Ugg know of are also listed there. If you know of a site which is not listed on the site, ask Ugg themselves.
A website with Ugg in the url (the bit you type in) which is not the genuine Ugg website is a fake site as Ugg do not dispense to sites which list themselves like this.
There is a reason Uggs are expensive- sure they are overpriced now, but below the £70 mark and you gotta wonder what matrials and manufaturers they are using to make the boots- the craftsmanship on genuine Uggs is great, they are very well made. Cheap fake Uggs are often badly made, stiching that does not match one boot to the other, sheepskin that does not match one boot to the other (the skins on any pair of shoes will come from the same animal, not two different sheep for example.) so will strech to the same degree, look and feel the same and be the same colour. The cheaper made Uggs just can't afford to do this and cut corners, the show. Badly! And as the time goes on they show even more.0 -
Popped into MAKRO today (Irlam near Manchester) and they had genuine UGG Australia boots. Only had grey cardys (89.99 +VAT) and short chestnut classic £120 +VAT. I have an old pair of short chestnuts and forgot how amazing they are when they're new!:heartsmil0

Just ordered chestnut short ultras for £89 including delivery from shoe-shop.com with SPENDLESS10 discount code (and I used topcashback, so I should get another 7% back making them £83).

Im looking at the black bailey button uggs and was wondering what size to order as normally im a uk 5 and noticed some uggs you need to order a lower size but then some your normal size
would i be daft to order without trying any uggs on? Can anyone who has the bailey button ones confirm what size to get please?
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

I would definitely try them on. But I am sometimes a 3 and sometimes a 4 and i got my bailey buttons in a 4 and they are perfect
my-wardrobe where i got them says to stay true to size and to be honest i found the three a little tight when i tried them on in office. my suggestion would be to get a 5 if you definitely cannot try them on in a shop somewhere.0 -
Thank you, I came back to edit my post to say Im looking at the mywardrobe site and that it was full sizes and not half. Im so tempted now especially with the £50 off code and quidcoThe more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

I am a size 5, I wear a 4 in Uggs but they are snug and my toe is right at the end of the boot, I find a size 5 fits fine in length but I have quite narrow feet so the 4 is more comfy the 5 feels sloppy around my whole foot and ankle. If you have average width feet or wider feet a 5 will be fine as the 4 are tight if I wear thicker socks. (I wear socks with mine even though you are not supposed too) HTH0
