:j Just received my boots from my wardrobe...didnt want to open them because they were wrapped so lovely in tissue paper with a big grey ribbon bow on them, anyway I did and they are lovely finally got some boots I'm happy with. :D
  • Hi,

I have just received some black classic tall ugg boots today that I purchased from Spoiledbrat.co.uk - but I'm a little confused as they don't appear to be the same material on the outside as my chesnut uggs (also classic tall)? My chestnut uggs are a very soft suede type of material - where if you rub them it changes colour if you know what I mean? Whereas the new black uggs I have just received are a hard material and do not feel like suede, not soft like my chesnut uggs.

I just wondered if the black uggs differed in material/appearance to the chesnut coloured uggs?

Does anyone know if this is right? Or are they fake/faulty?

    Many thanks,

    Amy

P.S. Sorry I also posted this question somewhere else - but I thought that it would be better suited here. Thanks!

Did you order the bomber boots maybe, rather than the classic Tall?

They will go like that within a few wears, I know what you mean though my black ones are a little bit crispy feeling.
  • Are they? My chestnut uggs were never hard like this though! I think I'm going to have to go and look at some real ones in the shops to put my mind at rest.
  • My first pair of Uggs from my-wardrobe have just arrived, the packaging was so beautiful and the boots are stunning, I love them.
Do you have to use a special type of protector on them or will a normal suede protecting spray be ok?

Mine arent hard...they just look really smooth like a crisper finish but when I look closely I can see the fibres that will go softer when I wear them. They are not as velvety soft as the new chestnut ones I have which I havent worn yet and you can see when you run your finger in them it goes light or dark, but theres not a massive difference and if I didnt compare them I wouldnt really notice, I have no doubt they are genuine as black always look slightly different due to the amount of dye used.

If yours are hard then I think you should check some others. What type of label have yours got inside? I notice they have changed the label as well as the sole, and also my box has a small photo of the boot on and a new style barcode.

Arent they packaged lovely, I didnt want to open mine :rotfl:

You can use any protector that is for suede or canvas, I have never seen one for sheepskin specifically but I have always used the standard protector spray and it doesnt mark them in any way. Dont buy anything for leather as it might have oils in which will show on the boots. Clarks do a good one and also Punch do one.

Hi Amy, you are honoured to finally get your UGGS from Spoiled brat! I am waiting for mine STILL but did get some fobbing off email about not having the right sized boxes at the weekend...

I am concerned also about how genuine their boots are, my cousin bought a pair of black classic talls from there and they seemed fine back in August but as they are not listed as official resellers i am concerned!

Really wish i had bought elsewhere now :(
