they are still like new outside despite being worn in snow and rain.

I bought my 7 year old a beautiful pair of EMU's in long length chocolate coloured sheepskin today from tkmax (£24.99) and would love them to stay in 1st class condition but I'm not sure how to protect them or if I need too!

Thanks
Pink Fizz, both my kids under 7 have them and, in all honesty, there is no way you can keep them looking pristine unless you panic about every single puddle they go near or stop them going on wet grass, mud, out in the rain, etc.... The only saving grace is that you cannot see the wet marks on the chocolate coloured boots (this is what DD has).
I took my kids to Gymnastics this week and they came back with mud on them from getting in and out of the car - only the 2nd time of wearing. I got my kids some last year for the first year and they lasted all through the snow and rain but by the spring they had lived their life to the full, besides, their feet change size anyway. But I decided that I was not going to stop them being kids just because they had a pair of boots on, life is too short for stuff like that, they are childrens winter boots so they will get wet and muddy as the soles will catch the edge of the boot when they walk - the only way to stop this is by not letting them wear them where they will get wet and that seems a bit pointless in buying them really. The Emu's are definately more resiliant than the soft sheepskin boots as, they are firmer on the outside and will put up with a more substantial brushing. This is why I got them Emu's and not 'real' Uggs.
If you spray them it will stop the repelling of SOME water to a certain degree but it will not stop a lot really, I am going to spray the ones my kids have but do not expect them to not get any marks on as the repellent spray does not work like that, it is just for repelling the odd shower - it certainly will not make them 'kid proof' and certainly not looking pristine. They will last the winter and keep their feet warm, this is all that matters to me, life is too short to be shouting at your kids for getting their boots wet or dirty IMO.0 -
A few people on here have washed them - can I ask how they washed them and what in?There will always be:

I've had a look at the whois: http://www.who.is/whois/zuccionline.co.uk/ I also checked and they are registered with companies house, set up in 2005, selling lots of other brands and not just Uggs, able to return goods, from this point of view I would say yes. But if in doubt call them and ask them.
In all honesty, they could just be selling them cheaper to get some profile to their store. I do not sell brands but I have a couple of ranges I sell at cost so that people look and buy other things, for a small business it is what keeps us ticking over, so they could be doing this.
If you are worried, call and ask them outright though.0 -

Hi
Can I ask what colour the internal fur is? Is it cream? And is the pattern printed on the actual sheepskin or is there some sort of fabric covering it. Does it look as if it would wear off easily? They have some cream that are lovely but I like the balck and brown too! There will always be:

Hi the sheepskin inside is chocolate brown (so if you rolled the top over it would match the boot) but the footbed is cream sheepskin. The pattern seems to be printed into the sheepskin, does not look like it would wear off, if you zoom in on the pic on the website its a very real like picture. The ugg tag on the heal is brass. Somthing a bit different and not everyone will be walking around with.0 -
