pricey yboots, this thread has given me a lot to think about. Must resist....

lol, i always used to wonder what the fuss was all about with the ugg boots, couldn't understand why most young ladies & women had them on in the summer, used to joke about it saying i bet their feet pong! after coming on here reading this thread also another with excellent advice from other ugg fans i took the plunge & purchased! the only problem is i now have 4 pairs of ugg style boots! i decided to go with a pair of mortels short bullet chestnut for pottering around the house in, i have these on now they are fantastic, i then got a pair of kirkland originals tall black (i believe you can get these from costco) i managed to get a pair of ugs & kisses short sand, all pairs 100% sheepskin, brand new from ebay, then this week i purchased a pair of emu stinger lo deluxe brown smooth sheepskin. i paid £118 (including postage) for all 4 pairs! i sold some of my january sale footwear purchases to fund my habit!

    i'm now a convert, i :heart2: sheepskin boots!

there are still a few pairs of emus left in the sale at sereneorder.com - i got my stinger lo deluxe for £52.00 inc postage, i think they have 1 size 8 left & various sizes in the emu hip boot.

    best wishes

I've not ordered uggs from them, i have used them before for other things and they are genuine. Service has always been fine when i used them.

  • It was my own fault i suppose  - i wore them whilst rustling up something for my Lunch & managed to get a drop of oil on them.

Anyone know how to get rid of the oil stain?

You can buy Ugg cleaning kits but not sure if they would remove oil- try a shoe-menders or drycleaners who will have specialised cleaning equpitment, you may pay a bit more but (a) you will get the oil off first time and (b) you wont have to do the work yourself!

In my experience Emus are just as good as (if not better than) Uggs, they are cheaper for a start, and they last just as long - Everyone is so easily swayed by what celebs are wearing, it's ridiculous! If Pamela Anderson or Mischa Barton started wearing socks with their sandals, would everyone follow like mindless sheep? Quite possibly...

    Cheers Jennie.
I tried doing it myself with suede cleaner yesterday, but it didn't work.
I think i'll try my local shoe menders at the weekend.

I had some emu's and they were pants. They folded at the ankle like all the other snugs about ( snide uggs)

There are different types of Emu boots, not all sheepskin. The sheepskin ones are fab.

I bought ugg shampoo and bung them in the washing machine. It has tea tree in it and they come out smelling lovely.
