Thanks, I do know they're genuine, but I was confused by the colour as I sent them an email and they said they look just like the photo, whereas all the grey ones I have seen were a lot darker than the photo. That's great; thank you for your reasurrances.0 -

You could alwasy try asking asos for the actual colour name, or if your technically savvy, the pantene colour code-thats the actual colour which you can then go to match up with a swatch if you have one, to get the actual colour.
I would not be surprized if some newer models have paler or darker shades then others as they are all leather and could have natural differences. Asos seem to have pretty good returns features though so its not really going to cost you to get them sent over to you if they come over £100 and get free delivery (I think its free over £100). Hope it works out well.0 -
I know ASOS are great, but I was talking about Shudoo.....
I've decided to wait til I get a new ASOS code and to get them from there eventually.0 -

Hi there,
Just wondered if anyone can help me. I bought a pair of tall chestnut uggs from shudoo in November 2008. They have not worn at all well and now look really faded and scruffy. I am gutted as saved for ages to buy them and did loads of research on 'fake' uggs etc. I work 3 days a week so only wear them on the days I am off, and they go away in their original box.
I have contacted Shudoo but have more or less been told that they are in the condition they would expecty after having them for 4.5 months. I argued that boots I have spent £15 on have lasted better, and friends that have the fake uggs boots are in better condition then mine. They have also developed a really annoying click in the left sole!
Does anyone have ideas on what I might be able to do. Shudoo have now suggested I contact Ugg@Australila direct??0 -
Hello beckyspeller31,
Not clear on exactly what is up with your uggs- when you say they look scruffy- what do you mean by scruffy?
Did you wear them in the rain/snow/puddles? they are not waterproof (nor claim to be) so this would make them look scruffy if this happened.
Also did you scotchguard them when you got them? this makes a difference- helps them look cleaner after a wash and if you did scotch-guard them, when you washed them, did you remember to put on more sotch-guard to replace the stuff that was taken off?
Don't forget, while they are expensive and a brand name, they will still pick up dirt- its natural. I keep mine in a box, I clean them about twice a year when I am wearing them. I have had mine 5 years, but they are black so dirt wont show. Its not like mine look brand new, but they are still in good condition I have not had any other boot or shoe last as long!) they do look a tad faded, but I would expect that as I clean them, accidentally go out in the rain- even wore them in the snow this year. Its the price I pay to do that, they just wont look as good as a result. But its not fatal, they still feel great and have held their shape. I would imagine if they were chestnut, the effects of my abuse on them would show up alot more!
I can't say whats happened to yours as I can't see them, but all I can suggest is to clean them with suede cleaner, and scotch-guard them, and remember they will never look brand-new for long, they are uggs, but they are not invincible!0 -
Thank for your reply.
I don't even wear them in the rain or anything as have been so careful not to ruin them. I did scotchguard them before I wore them and have done it again twice since. The colour has definately faded a lot and they just look tatty. Just not what I would expect for £170 pair boots designer or not.
Never mind it is a lesson learnt I guess but I am gutted as can't afford another pair now. Was going to sell them 2nd hand on e-bay but they look too grotty even for that.
Sorry forgot to say they are chestnut.0 -
