  • Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but Costco stock shearling (sheepskin) boots which are incredibly similar to the 'official' UGG boots, but about £100 cheaper! (think they were around £28 with VAT) They stock both at Costco, and apart from the label (and the price of course!), I couldn't really see a difference between the two boots. If anything, the Costco boot (I think they were Kirkland) seemed more securely made. Considering one could get 4 pairs of Kirklands for 1 pair of 'UGG's, this seems like a bargain to me. The only problem is, Cardiff Costco appeared to have only size 3 & 4 in stock yesterday. In three colours though - black, chestnut & chocolate.

I know this thread deals with the Ugg-style boot (as opposed to the UGG brand boot), but I wonder if there would be any merit in seperating the discussion, so that there could be a specific thread only concerned with cheaper sheepskin boots. I for one have no intention of spending £130 on a label, but am keen to replace my old Emus (which cost a mere £30 four years ago) with a new pair.

Maybe I'm in the minority here though ...

wow i'm in shock lol! office have sent out the first pair of black ugg cardys that i ordered! after telling me they thought they were out of stock. they came to £88 plus £3.50 p&p (£110 but i used a 20% voucher) i'm a 6 and they're a 6.5 so fingers crossed.

i also ordered them from office in 5.5 but they'd gone up to £120 so were £96 after discount, they are currently 'pending'

    Hi

Has anyone used the hartings website listed by Martin in the first page recently? I want to get a pair of uggs and see they have them in stock in chestnut in a size 4 but am not sure if they deliver to UK. Cant see on their website either!

Plus anyone know which shops stock them in the UK? I would prefer to try the size on first to make sure I need a 4 as I have read that they are big.

    Thanks

Yes i had two orders from Hartings in December.I ordered my usual size5.They arent too big so to me they are true to size.
Heres the link to the UK page.

They arent the Decker ones but IMO they are just as good if not better quality. If you were looking at the UGG® australia ones on that site they only deliver within New Zealand.

I think this is a good idea as I am one of the opposite people and am only interested in genuine UGG brand boots so often have to read about emu's, stingers, just sheepskin etc etc before I can find out who are stocking UGG's and at what price.

I have chunky legs I think and have tall ones and they are fine. I was going to get small ones but I would say you should go to a shop and try them on as I got a size 8, normally I am a 7. I tried on every style.

The problem is, the Ugg haters will come out waving their pitchforks in full force wailing 'NO TO UGG THREADS' etc! Two threads would make sense though, surely? Not sure if I'm brave enough to start one yet. Might do a bit of research and see if I can compile a list of prices/links first.

For what it's worth, having worn UGGs and Emus, Emus are genuinely better made I'm afraid. The sole and stitching is a lot sturdier. UGGs are a bit like Lily Allen - a triumph of marketing over substance.
