USC is part of the West Coast Capital group owned by Sir Thomas Blane Hunter.[3]
It was announced on 29 December 2008 that the company had gone into administration.[4][5] 15 of the group's 58 shops across the UK are affected. The remaining will be bought up by Dundonald Holdings Ltd, another vehicle of Sir Tom Hunter in a pre-packaged administration agreement.[6]0 -
Hi
just wanted to add my two pennies worth if it's of help to anyone, particularly anyone umming and ahhing between Ugg / Emu...
I have been trawling pages and pages of Ugg / Emu threads for days trying to decide where to go / what to buy and I found this -
went to John Lewis to try on both Ugg and Emu boots - I have wide feet and am typically a size 7 - both Ugg and Emu short classic styles were a perfect fit in size 7. Both were really comfy and snug and I wanted to walk straight out with them!
The Emu are a lot bigger over the top of the foot and I had to laugh as one poster somewhere said they made her feet look like 2 jacket potatoes, which was so truewas disappointed as I really wanted to prefer Emus as I didn't want to spend so much for Ugg branding, but then again, really glad I did the comparison. Aesthetically (sp?) the Uggs are definitely nicer.
I didn't buy in John Lewis - I'm after the metallic short and they were £160 instore, so I've come home, ordered from ASOS and should have them on Friday (unfortunately Shudoo didn't have my size).
Don't know if this will help anyone, but I found that you can do internet overkill reading sooooo much info, but after a quick "try it on" trip, my mind is made up, and I'm now excitedly waiting for my delivery on Friday.
