Best bet is to probably stay clear of ebay for buying uggs.0

She will only wear the real thing but i aint paying £200 for some ! the only thing that makes them seem like fakes to me is the fur inside comes away if u pull it where as on the real uggs it doesnt . everything else seems ok !
have we established whether the site u are all buying from are real or fakes yet ??

hellllooo karen !!!
yes its me off the Ronan boards lol how much did u pay for your uggs off ebay ?
i have compared my daughters with that link and everything looks the same as the real uggs expect the fur does come out when pulled , i think theyre just getting so much better at faking them now , everything else is perfect lol . its too late once u have bought them anyway , think i might just have to buy her some from leeds for £179 !! thats gonna kill me but its her xmas money so its up to her !0 -
I received a pair of Emu Stingers today from Puddle Beach (xmas pressie for my wife). Very impressed with their service. I ordered them last Sunday, so only six working days to arrive, that's pretty good in my book, especially at this time of year.
The boots look very well made, the fur inside is really soft and thick, very high quality all round. I fail to believe that 'ugg australia' brand ugg's could justify a price tag of triple the value of these!0 -

If its any help, I got my Uggs in the Topshop on Oxford Street about 4 years ago now. I am certain that that would mean they are genuine as I don't think Topshop would risk thier reputation for their flagship store!
When I first had them, the first few days there was some wool/fluff pulling off, but it did go away in just a few days of wearing them, so I wouldn't worry too much about the lose wool/fur (not sure what to call it, loose sheep?!) they could still be genuine, you never know!
Can you not verify them at the Leeds store? know its not in their interest to say if they are or are not fake, but maybe if you say that you were given them as a gift and you are not sure, rather then you bought them from ebay. That way they could be more likely to tell you the truth- or just take them to several stores and get a general concensus. Personally, £179 is alot to buy just because you are not sure.0 -
Hi Craig777,
did you get a confirmation email from puddlebeach following your order?
I ordered a pair of Emus on Fri but have not yet received an email confirmation. I also stupidly didn't keep a copy of my order confirmation I received on their site at the time as I thought the same info would be emailed . .
Thanks!0 -

Hi, s_q
Yes, I received a confirmation email shortly after ordering, then an 'item dispatched' email the following day.
Send them an email, they should be able to confirm if your order has been received or not.
I've never ordered from them before, so I don't really know what their 'normal' turnaround time is for sending out their confirmation emails. I did pay for my order via PayPal, don't know if that would of made a difference to the speed of confirmation as opposed to paying with credit card??0 -
When I've used Puddle Beach, I've just got a despatch email a couple of days later. I've found them very reliable so far and the delivery times are excellent!
In the bumpf they send out with the Emu Stingers, it says that there might be a bit of loose wool initially, but that will stop after the first few times you wear them.

The latest offers on sheepskin ugg boots are shown here http://www.snugboots.co.uk/snugboot-offers.html and these are all UK based companies so you don't have to worry about importing the boots. UGG Australia brand (US company made in China) are here too but there are many less expensive, and I think better styled, ugg boots available from other manufacturers.0
