Health, medical or travel insurance?!

Hello,
I wonder whether anyone can help me? I am currently working in Thailand as a teacher of English. I did have travel insurance for the 1st year I was here but this has just run out. I have tried checking out a lot of travel insurance sites but I am unsure as to exactly what kind of insurance I should get. I am looking to have medical/health cover if I should need hospital treatment but I would also like to have repatriation cover and some of the basic cover you recieve from travel insurance (most important is hospital and repatriation). I have recieved some quotes from international health insurance providers but the premiums are huge (£600-800!).
If anyone can help me find out which is the best kind of insurance in this situation and that is not incredibly expensive (looking at about £200) I would be extremely grateful!
Thanks
ps oops nearly forgot! I am a 33yr old (nearly 34!) female just in case someone tries finding figures!!!

I don't think that travel insurance will do you any good, even an annual policy. They are aimed at holidays or shoter term trips, rather than permanat (or semi-permanent) residence. There will be a maximum number of days for which the cover applies - commonly about 3 weeks, unless the cover is extended.

Would have thought that you will need some kind of permanent health cover, but that's outside my sphere of experience. There must be some specialist brokers out there on the internet.
