Child tax credit if I receive a high amount of child support?

Hi
I work part-time as a receptionist and also am awaiting a start of my second year at uni. I had my first child when I was 18 and broke up with the dad before I even knew I was pregnant. He doesn't pay child support because we have joint custody (3 and a half days a week each). Me and my second daughters dad where together for a year, he was not happy about the pregnancy (Despite telling me he wanted a baby before I got pregnant) but when it came down to it he said he had second thoughts and if I continued then he wouldn't be involved.
I continued regardless because I morally do not agree with abortion especially when we planned the baby. My second daughter is now 4 months old (he has only seen her once, when she was in NICU as the nurses had told me to expect the worst and I guess he didn't want to have to live with the guilt!!) but since then he hasn't seen her and tells me to leave him alone.
I sent off for child support and they have came back with an entitlement of £1300 a month. He is a football player for a low league team hence the large wage. I know this seems very high. Currently I get student finance plus my wage plus child tax credits and I get a top up from housing benefit to cover some of our rent. Will I still get child tax credit if I receive this amount?? I am concerned because I do not think he will pay it (even if they try to force him) I think he will probably delay the procedure by asking for DNA tests etc and then not pay it even when it is prooved, and I do not want to be without child tax credits while he messes around.

It's not counted - not even if he makes it to the big leagues and it is £1300 a week.Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0

Its not counted for anything and if he denies parentage he still has to pay until DNA testing comes back proving he isn't the father.0
