ASDA late delivery

My ASDA Grocery order should have arrived between 11am and 1pm

At 12:09 I received the following email from ASDA:

Hi

We wanted to let you know that unfortunately we’re experiencing some delays with our home shopping deliveries today as a result of a technical fault. This has now been rectified, however some of our orders will now be delivered later than expected.

Our aim is to have all deliveries completed today, however this now may not be in your requested delivery slot. Unfortunately as a result of the problems this morning our colleagues are unable to give you an estimated time of arrival, but please rest assured that we’re working hard to fulfil deliveries in your area. We would ask that if you’re able to wait for your order please do so or alternatively you can call us on, 0800 952 6060 to rearrange delivery or to cancel your order.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this delay may cause you, and we thank you for your patience.

Kind regards

Asda Home Shopping

I have phoned the 0800 number several times and if you can get through you are told to ring back later. My order is over an hour late! What a way to treat customers. I notice they have successfully managed to place a hold on my card...

What a way to treat customers here and more so considering they even had the nerve to email and advise that due a technical issue deliveries were running late, Personally I'd sue them if I was you.

I don't think you are the only one. It looks possibly a country-wide fault. I got the email too and I've got the last slot of the day. Looks like a late night for me. That's life though.

They have a technical problem and they have let you know about it, it happens unfortunately. Of course trying to get through on the phone would be a nightmare, there phone is probably ringing off the hook !

What more do you want them to do? You say what a way to treat customers so I assume you would rather they never let you know and just didn't turn up ??

Er.. They experience a problem, they fully inform you and you moan about it! What on earth do you mean by "what a way to treat customers"????
  • I think Asda home shopping service is far superior to any others (no i don't work for asda lol)

In several years I have only ever had one late delivery. No I didn't get hysterical about it.

They could make outgoing phone calls from Asda to rearrange the deliveries.
