HSBC Student Account? how long does application take to be heard back from?

Terribly sorry if this is the wrong place, I applied for a student bank account with HSBC about two weeks ago, but have heard nothing back since, was just wondering if anyone knew how long it would take roughly?

Hi, my daughter and i put her application in 2 weeks ago but heard nothing, went into the branch this Monday and they couldn't find any record of her application. Branch were very helpful, set the account up there and then and gave her £50 compensation as a good will gesture. Pop into the branch asap and they should be able to help. Cards and pins take a while to come so dont delay going in! Good luck0
