That is certainly easier to use and the output is much cleaner. I like the new layout.
However, it would be nice if they gave an explanation on control functions (or at least a link to them) as the average consumer wouldnt know what CF means). Also wish they would remove errors rather than leave them on there. Back in the past, they made two errors in quick succession where they initially put me as a director, then a sole trader and then corrected it to be partner. So, I have multiple entries covering all three things but in reality I was never two of them. If you are trying to make the register consumer friendly then errors need to be removed rather than left on there and jargon needs to be explained.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I have nothing to do with the FCA, just happened to see they have this new site now which is a lot more user-friendly than the old search.
Might be worth you telling the FCA what further improvements you would like to see. I guess they'd have some sort of mechanism for you to report incorrect entries about yourself?0 -

And in 6 years I may get an answer.I guess they'd have some sort of mechanism for you to report incorrect entries about yourself?
I am trying to get an FCA authorisation sorted at the moment. Its 12 weeks before they even allocate a case handler to look at it. Historic stuff is not something I am bothered about and dont want to put their manpower elsewhere. However, if it something they are going to have to consider if they intend to make it more useful to consumers and push it to consumers.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
