Would like to return products for refund, seller is unresponsive

Hi,

Myself and a friend ordered some RayBan sunglasses from a website which having done some looking into seemed legitimate to us. Having received the products they were clearly fake and didn't even pay any resemblance to the photos of the products on the seller's website. I have sent a number of emails to the seller both via my personal email address but also using their messaging system on their website and haven't received any replies.

Before ordering we checked their return's policy which clearly stated if you were unsatisfied with the products you're able to return the item and gain a full refund. No return address information was included within the package I have received from them.

I have now sent a number of emails the first of which I sent a photo of the products I had received and a screenshot of the product from the website to show the difference, i.e. the products I received didn't even include RayBan branding. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a phone number to contact them so only have the email address which is of course very easy to ignore emails from unsatisfied customers!

Can anyone advise regarding what I could do in this situation? Unfortunately it seems to look as though I won't be receiving a refund and have lost the money for good!

  • Where did you order them from / how did you pay? Paypal, Credit Card if it was the latter you could initiate a section 75 claim.
  • I have always found PayPal to be excellent at getting refunds from shoddy retailers. I have had three successes with similar problems. If you paid with PayPal, open a claim, it is very easy to do.

If the goods cost more than £100 ;)

    OP, who is the seller?

    Monday morning, no coffee...send help.

Although it would have to be said if they were less than £100 you should of been dubious anyways.
  • What is the website??
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Why don't you report your findings to official RayBan headquarters, I am sure they will act quickly on a website selling fake goods!

let me guess, bad English gmail address, no return details, everything straight from manufacturer at 70% off.

It's another cheap Chinese knock off site selling cheap fakes, try and invoke a chargeback from your bank if you can
