Hello, basically I'm 21 years old and I got into a lot of mess over the last few years, managing to end up with around £20k worth of debt.
It got to the point where I thought enough is enough and I got myself an IVA because the stress of not being able to afford to pay anything was getting on top of me. I have started improving my situation with money. And to this day have finally realised It's time to grow up and start being a lot more sensible.
Long story short, me and my girlfriend are looking to finally move out next year, and I'm overly concerned about the application process for renting accommodation due to my IVA, what's the best way to go about it. Any tips/information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

The IVA will look bad on any credit score. Hopefully talking to the agents and landlords and assuring them that your taking steps to sort your problems out will help. If you have a long stable job worth mentioning this too
The agent\landlord may request a bigger deposit or more rent in advance. A private landlord may be better than an agency, as he\she can use own judgement rather than scores.
IVA wise you'll need to redo your budget, if this results in less money available for IVA your IP may need to hold a creditors meeting. Your girlfriend will feature in this budget, not to claim her income, but to ensure the cost of living is split fairly.
I would definetly be talking to my IVA company before signing up for a new place0
