Cheapest way to send a package in the UK

Hi all,
Wasn't quite sure which thread this fitted in so let's try here :-)
I'm looking for the cheapest way to send parcels around UK destinations. I'll be sending about 5 cases of wine out each week for the foreseeable future and am looking for low cost alternatives to the Post Office, even if they take a little longer to get there.
Anyone have any ideas or is the Post Office or big fulfilment companies like Fedex the cheapest way?
Cheers!
Chris

I use my hermes via inter parcel (they're great as they give you various companies/options/prices)0

Definitely worth shopping around especially with all the click and collect/drop off outlets nowadays. The last thing I sent was going to be more than £20 with anyone I have used before, but it cost about £6 with Hermes.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Not used them, so can't comment on them."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."

me too - you would need to check the restrictions though as glass items may not be covered by some couriers.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
