2 year age gap - double pram?

Hi. All being well we will have a 2 year age gap between our children 😁 Just looking for advice as to whether a double buggy is necessary? We do go on a lot of walks so I'm inclined to think it would be? Considering bugaboo donkey duo given it reverts to a single too.

We had a 3 year gap and went down the Phil & Teds route in their early days in the UK - I'm sure things have changed since then but it certainly did the job for the first 2-3 years0

with a 2 yr age gap, the older one would be aiming towards walking, what about getting a buggy board attached xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Thanks both.
I know there is time for change but at the moment I'm not sure eldest would be wise enough on a buggy Board! If she decided she didn't want to be on it one day etc I think it could be stressful!
Have looked at duo prams that stay duo, which are cheaper! But can't get my head around how I'd put it to use - ie eldest will by 3 I'd imagine be happy walking everywhere and I'd be stuck with a double. Or if I just have one of them one day etc.- [STRIKE]Credit Card: £2,989 / £2,989[/STRIKE]

There's 17 months between my eldest two, I didn't have a double buggy because I found them a bit too wide and awkward and people would tut at you in shops etc. When the toddler was tired of walking or we were in a hurry I did the following combinations:
Baby lying flat in the pram, toddler sat in the end
Baby in a front sling, toddler in the fold up buggy
Toddler in the backpack, baby in the pram pushchairOver futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
My DD had a Phil & Ted's one where the baby could be lying down and the toddler sitting behind/below (I think it was that way round anyway.) She started using it before the baby arrived, to get the older child used to it. When the bay was older the lying-down bit converted into a seat.
It was very easy to push and to manoeuvre, more so than the single pushchair she'd been using before.0 -
There is a buggy seat/board attachment that you can fix to the pram.
It's called an Easy X Rider. I'm tempted to get this if I'm successful in falling pregnant

I am also looking for a double buggy. My son will be three when the next one arrives in February. When he was born I was walking around two hours a day.
There are two options I have found that are not the size of a bus: baby jogger city select which takes a child up to 15kg or the Phil Ted navigator 2 up to 5 years old. Both are so expensive even on eBay!
Take your existing child to the shop to see what seat combination they will accept. Mine refused to go in the bottom of the Phil and Ted one.0 -
Roses have you looked at city mini double jogger too, I've had that come highly recommended.

I have seen that but I really don't want a side by side, they are too wide. It will definitely be one of the two I mentioned. Let's see if either get cheaper towards the end of the year0

Everyone I knew with a 2 year age gap had a double buggy, whereas I never did with a 3 year gap.0
