Either the care home has no money under the current system or the owner got greedy.
It may be worth finding out who (on paper, anyway) owns the care home, as I suspect it could be owned by the owner in his own name, and leased to the Ltd, at which point it would have possibly no assets with the owner free to lease it to a new Ltd and resume trading.
Why people do it is beyond me (although it is perfectly legal). I couldn't live with the moral consequences of this.
As above, it will take 3-4 weeks from the IP being appointed for the company to be formally placed in liquidation.💙💛 💔0 -
