Ford Credit PPI Any success??

Hi,
As the title suggests, I was wondering if anyone has ever been successful with applying for PPI from Ford Credit?
I don't know where to start.
My local dealer that we bought our car from 8 years is still in business...do I start with them? I still have the agreement.....in one of my many boxes stil not unpacked after moving house 18 months ago
Any help would be appreciated
