I have been using Ebay for several years now and have 100% feedback (approx 550+). I use it mainly for buying but occasionally sell low value stuff we don't need in the home.
On 23 Aug, I sold my old mobile phone (about £50) due to an upgrade i got - should i be worried?!
The seller has 51 100% feedback and paid instantly by Paypal. I sent the phone the following day via Royal Mail 2nd class signed for.
On the RM website there is nothing to say it has been signed for, i have had no contact or feedback from the buyer since the sale.

No news is good news.
Signed for in some areas rarely updates to show delivery- all you can do is assume buyer has it and stop worrying. If buyer hasn't got it, or opens a INR then you will need to refund- but signed for will give you £50 of 'insurance' against loss.
The only slight thing to worry about is that RM also know that items often arrive unsigned for, and it can sometimes be more difficult to get them to pay out, but worry about that if it happens.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think around 40% of my Signed For items always just show as progressing through the network and never show as delivered. Assume your buyer has it, and hope they are honest!
Don't contact them or you may give them ideas, just let sleeping dogs lie.0 -

Something to note on this.
RM are overhauling their quality of service measures/systems.
Part of this measure is a measure on unsigned Signed for items.(at delivery office level)
I would expect to see a gradual improvement with the service levels.0 -

That would be a welcome move, I'm always nervous about signed for .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
