Declare All Cash Going into Account/JSA?

Hi
A close relatively has kindly agreed a long term loan to me, in order to pay of a credit card debt (very good of them.)
I am currently on JSA, do I have to declare all cash going into my current account, even if it will only be there for one day?
Thanks

Just get them to pay it direct to the company."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

To amplify - this is because yes, there is a real in principle risk if this is found that it will be held that the loan is your capital, which you chose to give away.sammyjammy wrote: »Just get them to pay it direct to the company.
Either making this a formal legal loan (which is probably not possible) which demands immediate repayment if not used to pay off the given debt, or the dramatically simpler step of the person paying the CC company directly would avoid any way the DWP could argue that this was ever your money, and needed reported, and because you gave it away they're treating you as if you still have it.0 -
Ok, thanks for the answers. I will just get the relative to pay it direct as SammyJammy suggested.
Out of interest how does the Benefits Office monitor every payment into your account?
Thanks

Google Data Matching - your bank accounts will be cross referenced while you claim for any payments etc. It may be weeks months or even years but any payments will be picked up eventually.

Charitable or Voluntary gifts of money are disregarded as income. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0 -

In some ways, it's worse if it takes years.
In many cases, there is evidence at the time that the entitlement to benefit may not have been a significant reason for the decision.
But - years later, when all the paperwork has been thrown away, ...0
