First Direct

Hi All
I need a bit of clarification on the wording on the first direct fee waivers.
Im hoping the account is fee free indefinitely providing you meet the waiver conditions stated. ie another account, £1000 balance etc.
The thing that Im not clear about is the mention of the first 6 months.
Does this mean that the account is fee free for 6 months providing the other conditions are met, or just that the account is fee free for this period regardless of the other criteria.
Im probably confusing myself by reading too much into this but can some kind soul confirm that this account is fee free indefinitely subject to meeting one of the waiver conditions and not just for 6 months.

TIA Kevin

It's fee free for the first six months regardless of what you do.

After that it's free indefinitely provided you meet one of the other conditions (pay in £1000/month, hold one of their other selected accounts etc).
  • Just put £1 into a e-saver with first direct then you don't have to put in £1000 monthly or pay any monthly fee.
  • Thanks Aretnap & Harveys for your replies.
I will now go ahead and switch.

Thanks - I was just thinking the same thing - I assume there is no min balance required in the e-saver? Certainly the T&Cs don't say so. Would definitely save the hassle of keeping 1k in there.
