Residential status question

in Credit cards
I am a homeowner, aged late 50's with longstanding up to date mortgage.
I no longer live in the home I own as I have returned to the family home to live with my widowed mother as she is no longer able to continue living alone due to age and deteriorating health. I am now on the electoral roll at her address.
What is my correct residential status - homeowner or living with parents?
If it is 'living with parents' (which sounds almost a bit of a joke at my age), would this likely to be detrimental to future credit applications?

I'd just put homeowner. You own a home so you could say it's technically true. If the application had options such as "owned, outright" or "owned, with mortgage" then you couldn't pick either of those options as you don't own the house you're living in.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

dont quite agree with the reply..
if Ben can say homeowner then he can say Owned-with Mortgage, and that's what i would do.0 -
Very difficult. If it asks for your "residential status", ie the status of the place where are currently living, then it is indeed "living with parents". Any other answer is technically fraudulent.
These questions really have had their day. What if your mother transferred the house to you and applied for a card herself. Is there a box "living with son"? What about somebody living in an older brother's house?
I think I would write a "white lie", and say homeowner.
I expect "living with parents" is not quite as good as "homeowner" from a credit point of view.0
