Does EE report to Experian ?

Hi, I am currenty trying to tidy up my credit file and have noticed that EE are reporting my account to Callcredit and Equifax but not to Experian. Does anyone else have a mobile phone with EE and know if they are reporting it on your Experian credit file ? I know mobile phone companies don't have to report to all 3 agencies but on EE twitter they have said they use Experian to credit check customers so seems odd that they wouldn't report to them.

I used to have a phone with Orange and that used to report to all three.

It might be worth you raising a query with Experian.

I had an Orange plan that reported to Experian. I migrated to EE and that also reports to Experian.
  • I was with T-Mobile for years, they were taken over by EE and they still reported to Experian for me up until I closed the account in March of this year.

  • Is there any phone provider that does not leak our personal data to black lists?

I'd rather pay more for utilities than have them list me on a black list for no good reason.

  • Thanks for the responses. Orange used to report to Experian on my account but now that shows as a closed account and EE don't report to Experian but do to Callcredit and Equifax. Looks like they should be so will give Experian a call to find out why it is not showing. I pay by direct debit so no missed or late payments and having this showing on my file as a well run account would help me rebuild my credit worthiness for the future.

Which blacklist are you referring to? As surely you're not referring to Credit Reference Agency data, as you would be misinformed.
Credit histories are datasets of financial account data and publicly held records, not blacklists. Any pair of lenders may reach entirely different decisions based on the same data, depending on what criteria they wish to apply.

They are blacklists, used to generate profit for the list holders and as a punishment for the general population.

They also appear the be unregulated and against the public interest.

They are not blacklists. I've obtained credit many times because of them not despite them. Equally they are not unregulated. The Consumer Credit Act and DPA cover their activities (though not always that well).
