It took us 10 days for them to come back to us about the special conditions. We did finally exchange and complete on the same day the 8th of November and we finally moved in on the 20th of November. Never moving again

Hi, are there any further reporting with This? We have applied to magellan and are in week 3. The survey was done last week and the results came in fine yesterday with it, our employers have been contacted etc. We thought once they had done the survey it would mean they would lend to us however we are now told it is with underwriters and it will be 48 hours for a decision. We are terrified that they will come back with a clause to pay our car loan off after reading a comment on here. We can't afford to pay the loan off and have never stated we will. Thank you

Hi we had a car loan which we didn’t have to pay off so they may not ask you to do so. just a bit of advice they are quite slow in getting answers which can be quite stressful but we have exchanged and completing in our house on 11th december! as long as you have a good mortgage broker to keep chasing them for answers it should be fine xx good luck

Thank you for replying. That makes me feel better that you weren't made to pay the car loan off. We are really hoping we do receive an answer this week as the sale of our current house is waiting. Good news for you completing next week

Hopefully you get some answers as it’s the worst thing having to keep waiting the only thing with magellan is they say 4 days for any decision to made! once you do get your mortgage offer make sure you have a good solicitor who responds asap to the special conditions as this will speed up the process!! it has been the most stressful time of our life but worth it in the end x

Hi yeah all done and moved in! will never be moving again!! special conditions we a bit different for us a we were gifted some of the deposit so had to have proof it was a gift! and make sure we have buildings insurance in place. They are very slow and can be annoying that they promise answers then you don’t get them. Hopefully you get some answers soon. good luck x

I know this is quite an old thread however keen to hear from anyone who has recently or is currently going through application with Magellan.

My full application went in today and just keen to hear from others what the turn around times have been like as there is nothing recent on any of the forum threads.
