Why I think it is Hard disk? Message regarding corrupt, unable to read files during Windows start up. Finally not being able to install Windows and the Gut instinct.

As i said, problems like that may not always be the hard drive, so be aware that replacing the hard drive may not solve the problem.
unfortunatlly, until you start replacing parts, it can be impossible to tell where the problem actually is. So sometimes you just have to try different parts.
if its supports it, you could try checking SMART.
If the hard drive starts making clicking sounds, its most likely on its way out0
