Hi all,
not sure if anyone will be able to help with this, but my cousin who is 14 (nearly 15) wants to come to england to study from japan, my uncle and wife are happy for her to come and stay with us, but I need to look into what I need to do and who do I need to contact to try and see if this is possible, has anyone done this or know where I need to start
.
any advice would be helpful.

Is she planning to study at a private school?
If so, contact the school. Private schools tend to have more experience with this type of arrangement.Gone ... or have I?0 -
they would prefer her to go to a local comprehensive school, which I am trying to contact, she has an english passport.0

I'd get in touch with the LEA and with the school that you're interested in sending her to, they'll probably have a better idea of the procedures and will tell you who you need to get in touch with. It might be a good idea to have an alternative plan, just in case the school is oversubscribed or there are restrictions on how long she can study there - like dmg24 says if it does look troublesome, a private school might be a better option as they don't have to adhere to the same rules and regulations. But calling the LEA should be your first step0
