Is it possible to move a detached garage?

Hi all,
I am viewing a house next week which has a detached garage which is set back from the house in the rear garden.
Unfortunately as it is so large it appears to take up a lot of the garden so I was wondering if it is possible/cost effective to move it so that it is attached to the side of the house? I figure as we have all of the materials in thr garage already built that might reduce the cost a bit?...Or am I in a bit of a dreamland?
TIA

Whats it made of?. If its brick you're unlikely to salvage much if anything. Many garages have a concrete base. These cannot be moved.0

You probably could do it without planning permission, but don't think you have all of the materials there. I'm not a builder and stand to be corrected, but you'd need new foundations and a base for a start. Demolishing the existing garage in a way you could re-use most of the materials could easily cost more than just building a new one.

It is a brick one.
You are probably right, with new ones looking like they will cost 12k minimum, it looks like I might need to look for a different house!Simplify and then Simplify some more!0 -
How about setting up a roof garden on top of the garage?!0
