Car Insurance policy in ex partner's name

I suspect, as other have said, your ex needs to cancel the current policy and you get a new one in your name only which will likely be at a higher premium (after all, you as the main driver was higher when you chose the main driver when you took the policy so I expect that will be unchanged)0
