Hudl 2 Factory reset

I was having a problem scrolling up and sometimes a note saying that it has stopped working. I also had lost the Gallery app and was not able to find how to install it again.
I made the mistake of calling the Tesco Tech phone no. The chap was of no help in fact he had no clue. Had no idea about anything. Said it might need repair or I could do a factory reset which I did. I knew I would lose my photo's but I have them on my laptop and my phone. I have got most of the the apps downloaded but I have not found the Gallery I was looking for. I applied the Norton security which I had a 5 licence and had 2 left. I installed a Hudl update last night. The keyboard looks totally different not a bad thing as the no's are further apart so less likely to type errors
Does anyone know of a way I can put the photo's back on the Tablet? They were not taken on the tablet. A lot of them were on FB which I sent to the tablet. A few were on my phone or on email. I don't desperately need to get them back on there but it is nice to just open up the gallery and see them.
Advice would be appreciated. Just wish I had asked a question here rather than speak to Tesco. Thanks so much Sue

You'll need to install a file manager.
Go to Play Store, by tapping the suitcase at the bottom right of the desktop, then tap "APPS".
Search for "File manager or explorer".
There are several to choose from, but I installed ES File Explorer File, by ES Global.
Once it's installed, open it.
Sweep up and down the left hand column, until you find sdcard1, which is your Micro SD Card, then tap to open it.
Hold down on the files you want to move, one at a time, until a white tick in a blue box appears.
To move the files tap "Cut", or to leave them and create a copy in the other location tap "Copy".
Open the location you want to move/copy them to, and tap Paste.
A message will tell you when transfer is complete.
ETA: Forgot to mention. You will find all the photos and movies you have taken with the Hudl, in folders in the section headed "Library". I'd suggest this is where you should store your own photos, videos, documents, etc.0 -
Thanks I am still looking for that app. There seems to be so many and I may have missed it I looked on home and categories plus top apps I have spent so much time today trying to sort things out
I will have another look later and also see if I can find Library.
Thanks again Sue0 -
Are you tapping "Top apps"?
Instead, tap the grey suitcase, with the multicolored pyramid, bottom right of the main screen.
Click the green rectangle marked "APPS", then tap the magnifying glass at the top right.
Type "ES" (without the speech marks). Fourth entry down should read "es file explorer".
That's the one you want, so tap it. The top left App on the next screen, is a blue folder full of pages, with a stylized ES inside a cloud.
That's the app you want, so tap it, then tap "install".I will have another look later and also see if I can find Library.
You won't find Library, until you've installed a File Explorer App.0 -
Thank you I found the app you recommended this morning. There are so many apps I see a few that I will download as well .
I have got quite a few photo's now that I wanted to put on my Tablet
The Hudl seems to be working fine so whatever the problem it has gone, I didn't have anything other than photo's on it No music or documents. Most of my things are on my laptop and some old things are on my desktop. I don't use it a lot.
I have been scanning old photo's and put some of them on FB. I also wanted to send some of them to my Family as there are some very old ones.
Thank you so much. I am trying to put them into albums in it so that I can find them easier The Gallery app is not there but I am doing just fine without it.
Thanks again for your advice.

The Gallery app is not there but I am doing just fine without it.
It's not a Gallery app, it's a folder on the Hudl.
Open ES File Explorer, then scroll down the left hand, white column, which begins with "Favorite", "Add", "Download", etc.
Go past "Local", "Homepage", etc., and keep going.
The next one is a group headed "Library". The first folder is titled "Images".
That's where the Hudl stores the photos you take with it, and from where you view images via the Gallery app.0 -
Thank you so much I am sorted
