Help - Any Ideas on cost of repairing sofa arm

Hi all,
Am hoping someone here will be able to help me out. I'm looking to move out of my rented accommodation in the next couple of months but the material on the arm of my 2-seat sofa has split in a couple of places - about 3 inches each one.
It wasn't a brand new sofa when I get it and I think it has just been worn away in that area.
What is the best thing to do?
Thanks x

If the material has split there's not much you can do as it's under stress there. Certainly nothing that would make a satisfactory repair. If you try to sew it all that will happen is that it will pull & split elsewhere. I would write a letter to the agent/landlord explaining the situation (write so you have proof of informing them). Landlords know that things get broken & general wear & tear is inevitable. You may want to take some photos just for your own records.0
